It’s Monday, so welcome to my Monday Blog, dear friends! Every now and then I post a truly heartfelt “Thank You” to various countries who have been with me here each week for over five years, as well as recent new-comers. My beloved USA holds the #1 spot, followed by the Philippines, Canada, India, Untied Kingdom, Hong Kong SAR China, Australia, South Africa, Romania, Ireland, Dominican Republic, Italy and Germany. While I’m blessed with so many more, today I celebrate my loyal alumni, as we add several newbies! THANK YOU to you all, may I never disappoint you and may you be blessed in abundance!
So what’s the real goal here on Earth? Could it be as simple as “longevity?
I’ve heard the following more than once from various “senior” friends of mine: “The goal of life is to die young as late as possible.”
Frankly, I rather like that idea and would add this little tidbit: “and to live each day as if it is your last.” I believe if one lives a life truly based on faith, hope and charity, the longevity part could be simply awesome!
We take care of ourselves which involves our body, aka Temple. Our temple houses our hearts and minds. In this heart and mind mix, comes emotion. It’s most wise to nurture all in healthy ways if we want to experience true longevity. Oh, and what about our souls? Our souls are the intangible part of our being that God is most concerned with when it comes to longevity… in Eternity. For this one paramount reason, we must get our hearts, minds and emotions “right” as in…spiritually RIGHT WITH GOD.
The bottom line is that we human beings are physical, emotional and spiritual. We know how to nurture our physical bodies, even our emotional sides, so how do we nurture our souls, the spiritual part of our being?
It is God’s way to heal our emotions by working through our spirits rather than adjusting our circumstances. He wants our emotional stability to be based on our spiritual relationship with Him…therefore, this will require a spiritual relationship with Him…
“I want to know Christ -yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.” -Phil- 3:10
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing, perfect will.” – Romans 12:2
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Seek me and find me when you seek me with all you heart.” – Jeremiah 29:11-13
My prayer for us all this week is that we will seek the Lord and invite Him into our hearts as a renewal of our gratitude to Him, for His undying love, patience and forgiveness…and pray for just a glimpse of His power, as we commit to Him just how serious we are about our Eternity with Him. Amen!
GOD is Good! GOD is Great!! Always!!!
I love you,
Margaret
