Angels On Earth

tmb blog earth angel

Monday, March 25, 2019

Welcome to my Monday Blog, my friends! Thank you all for your visits, comments and for just being you! I know how blessed I am to be gifted with each one of you. You inspire me and I love you.

Many of you have read my spiritual thriller, “That Melvin Bray”  and know how I feel about earthly angels…and how they walk among us. If the truth were known, each of us have most likely had an encounter with a celestial being at one time or another. I’m certain I have, and on more than one occasion.

*There are many different depictions of angels in the world today. We are fascinated by the idea of heavenly beings and it’s not hard to find jewelry, art, or even garden decorations with tiny baby cherubs or elegant beings. Many of us would be surprised to see what the Bible has to say about angels! These Bible verses about angels will give you a true picture of these heavenly beings.”

**********

The Bible:

For in him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. – Colossians 1:16

But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.  – Luke 20:35-36

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.  – Psalm  91:11

“See that you do not despise one of these littles ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 18:10

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. – Psalm 34:7

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. – Hebrews 13:2

Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation? – Hebrews 1:14

“Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.” – Exodus 23:20

So the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered, ‘These are they whom the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.’ – Zechariah 1:10

And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angles worship him.” – Hebrews 1:6

Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his ministers a flame of fire”  – Hebrews 1:7

And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. – 2 Corinthians 11:14

The poor man died and was carried by angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried…  – Luke 16:22

Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth to every nation and tribe and language and people.  – Revelation 14:6

And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” – Hebrews 1:6

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” – Luke 2:10

Just a few of the many confirmations in scripture about God’s heavenly hosts, His glorious Angels – Awesome!!

My prayer for us all this week, is that we will be mindful of the remarkable gifts we have watching over us as we walk God’s earth experiencing our own remarkable gift of life…may we be mindful of the ethereal power He has bestowed upon us as his Angel warriors walk among us. Amen!

The Funny Side

Blog my status

March 18, 2019

Happy Monday, my Friends and welcome to my Monday Blog! Let’s just have a little fun today, OK? Ya know, sometimes we need to just slow down, look in the mirror and see the funny side of ourselves. Trust me, we all have one; however, some of us are just a little too up tight to let that funny bone laugh-out-loud…not judging here, it’s just the truth. I’m sharing a little humor for you all today – hope you can feel the funny side…

*”GETTING OLD – I changed my car horn to gunshot sounds. People get out the way much faster now. Gone are the days when girls used to cook like their mothers. Now they drink like their fathers. I didn’t make it to the gym today. That makes five years in a row now. I decided to stop calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning. Old age is coming at a really bad time! When I was a child I thought Nap Time was a punishment. Now, as a grownup, it feels like a small vacation. The biggest lie I tell myself is ‘I don’t need to write that down, I’ll remember it’. I don’t have gray hair, I have “wisdom highlights”! I’m just very wise.

If God wanted me to touch my toes, He would’ve put them on my knees. Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators but we haven’t met yet. Why do I have to “press one” for English when they’re just going to transfer me to someone I can’t understand anyway? Of course I talk to myself, sometimes I need expert advice. At my age “Getting Lucky” means walking into a room remembering what I came in there for.

Actually I’m not complaining because I am a Senager (Senior Teenager). I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 60 years later. I don’t have to go to school or work. I get an allowance every month. I have my own pad. I don’t have a curfew. I have a driver’s license and my own car. The people I hang around with are not scared of getting pregnant and I don’t have acne.

Life is GREAT!!

I  know I have more friends I should send this to, but right now I can’t remember their names and plus, I’m just wondering, did I send this to you or did you sent it to me? ”

******

When we think about it seriously (oh no!), we realize most of us came into this word pushin’ & screamin’, right? I believe that by God’s holy design, we got a pass and have no memory of the incredible event and according to my dear Mother, all nine of her children did just that!! Actually, one of my brothers always told us he did indeed, remember being born – literally. You might know, as it’s turned out over the years, most of his stories have been proven true; however, this one…huuum…just a bit too difficult to prove, huh, Bubba? I will say this for him though, as many times as he described his birth, he never once changed the story.

So this week, my dear sweet friends, my prayer for us all is one of gratitude – gratitude for our incredible gift of Life, and that as we live it, we will express ourselves with gloriously happy and playful attitudes! We will allow ourselves to actually look on the bright side and nurture the humor inside of us…embrace the funny and playful gifts of our beautiful selves. Everything we have in this Life is a gift from God and we thank Him by using all our gifts, showing our gladness and joy in all we do. Amen!

GOD Is Good!! GOD IS Great!! Always!!!

I love you,

Margaret

Where’s The Love?

tmb love one another blog

Monday, March 11, 2019

Welcome to my Monday Blog, dear ones and THANK YOU, for sharing your time with me today! It is my hope that you had a weekend enjoying whatever fills your hearts with love. Ya know, when we pause for a moment, reflect on our present situations, then ask ourselves, “what is it that we truly need in our lives?”, we may find the answer to be quite simple: LOVE.

LOVE – is the feeling that a person’s happiness is very important to you and the way you show this feeling in your behavior toward them…in a kind and caring way and want to protect or support them. An expression of one’s love and affection. A feeling of brotherhood and good will toward other people.

“If someone says, ‘I love God’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother who he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him. That he who loves God must love his brother.”                   – John 4:20-21

Our love for God is not greater than our love for our fellow men. Godly love does not change according to circumstances. It is rooted and grounded. The tendency is to want the others to change. We feel that it is difficult to love someone as they are and would prefer that they were different. But this is not what the Bible says about love! This is proof that we are more concerned with our own happiness and comfort than with love for the others; we are seeking our own. The truth is that instead of hoping for the others to change, we need to find the sin in ourselves and cleanse that out. When we walk our talk, stop judging others, and simply love them as they are, we can pray for them out of a sincere Godly love and concern for them.

We best remember that there are no exceptions. No “well this person doesn’t deserve it.”  Jesus laid down His precious life for us, the ultimate sign of how much He loved us. And no one has ever been less deserving than we are of that!

Let’s all remember that to love does not mean to agree with someone’s sin; rather, it means to bear with them, to pray for them, to have faith for them and to want the very best for them. “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”  – Mathew 6:14-15

My prayer for us all this week is that we’ll get down on ours knees and pray – one by one, for our loved ones, our neighbors, strangers, the sick and needy, and just as important – our enemies. Amen.

“He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” – John 4:8

LOVE ONE ANOTHER!! Where would we be without God’s LOVE for us?

GOD is Good! GOD is Great!! Always!!!

I love you,

Margaret

All The Other Days

tmb blog some day we will all

Monday, March 4, 2019

Welcome to my Monday Blog, my friends. I’m grateful for your time and hope you’ll be blessed in some way by the time you get to the end of my post! I looove Mondays!!

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives and to paraphrase Snoopy, “on all the other days we do not die”, just what will we do with each first day of the rest of our lives? As I’ve gotten older, I’m more aware of my immortality. I find myself making more “to do” lists than ever! Shoot, frankly, when I refer to my list and some of the absolutely must-do stuff, I feel a bit over-whelmed and ask myself, “what the heck have you been doing all this time?!” Then I’m reminded of some great advice I’ll share with you today:

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it’s own.”- Matthew 6:34

“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he as said,  ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’.”- Hebrews 13:5

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What have you learned and received and heard and seen in me – practice these things and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:8-9

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10

We have many choices my friends and every first day of the rest of our lives can be filled with hope. When we cherish God’s holy words and trust in His promises, not just for today, but for all our days we have left here, our Gift of Life is so much more exciting and fulfilling! WaaaaHoooo!!

My prayer for us all this week is one of faith and hope in Him, so that we are left to live each day with joy, excitement and courage in our hearts and minds. This life is not perfect, but one thing I know to be true above all else, is that He will never forsake us – Never! FAITH in Him is a very big deal.

GOD is Good! GOD is Great!! Always!!!

I love you,

Margaret
