Hello, my dear Friends, welcome to my Monday Blog!
Today is a very special blog for me because it’s about the reason for the Season—JESUS!! Let’s start with babies and how they can change… EVERYTHING…literally!
If you’re a parent, then you know this full-well; however, even if you’re not a parent, you know someone—a loved one, a friend, a neighbor, who is…right? So when a baby enters the world, no matter whose baby it is, this baby will cause huge changes in the lives of all those who love this baby. A BABY is a miracle…period. Just think, YOU WERE A BABY—YOU were a miracle to those who loved you! Amen!!
However, the changes which take place in the lives of all those who love a baby are incredible!! Now for the most part, a baby is not just a “love-toy-on-display-for-braggin’-rights”…a BABY is an incredible responsibility; as a matter of fact, a BABY pretty much does most of the “taking” for many years…I know I’m right about this, because I’m a Mother and being a Mother opened my eyes and heart to both joy and pain…this is part of the “miracle” I spoke of earlier (it’s a miracle we who have babies, make it through the whole process…I say this partly in jest, but we all know it’s true…Thank You, Jesus!!).
*miracle: mir.a.cle, noun—a surprising event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine intervention; an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause. An extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.
Seriously though, all babies are special…as I said, A Baby Changes Everything!!
There is, however, ONE *miracle birth of a Baby who did in fact, change everything—Forever!! That miracle Baby was the one and only Son of God…Jesus Christ!
Hallelujah!!
I’ll share with you toady how the Blessed Mary, felt when she was told that she was to become a Mother….
St. Luke 1:26-48 (The Old & New Testaments) – Mary –
And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, “Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art those among women.” And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her,”‘Fear not, Mary: For thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in they womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father, David; And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” Then said Mary unto the angel, ‘How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?” And the angel answered and said unto her, “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible.” And Mary said, “Behold the hand-made of the Lord: be it unto me according to thy word.” And the angel departed from her. And Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, into a city called Juda; And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, “Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.’ And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. And Mary said,”my soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden; for, behold, from this day henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.”
Yes, Mary, the blessed Mother of Jesus, chosen by God, Himself, shall be blessed and honored forever and ever. Mary knew from that very day forward, that this baby would change everything!

Below are the lyrics to “A Baby Changes Everything” by Faith Hill—recorded in 2014 on her debut Christmas album. It’s a beautifully written song and speaks to what Mary had to endure with the blessing God bestowed upon her when He blessed her with our Savior, Jesus Christ. Holy Mary!!!
“A Baby Changes Everything”
Teenage girl, much too young
Unprepared for what’s to come
A Baby changes everything…
Not a ring
On her hand
All her dreams and all her plans
A Baby changes everything…
The man she loves she’s never touched
How will she keep his trust?
A Baby changes everything…
And she cries!
Ooh, she cries
She has to leave, go far away
Heaven knows she can’t stay
A Baby changes everything…
She can feel He’s coming soon
There’s no place, there’s no room
A Baby changes everything…
Shepherds all…gather ’round
Choir of Angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Hallelujah!!
A Baby changes everything, everything, everything…
My whole life has turned around
I was lost but now I’m found
A Baby changes everything
A Baby changes everything…
Hallelujah!!
Hallelujah!!

If you don’t know Jesus Christ yet, He’s the One who demonstrates His love for us in this:
“While we were all sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5-8
May He bless and watch over you and yours, and may He touch you in ways that you feel His mighty presence—He’s there, just waiting for you to know Him, His Love and Forgiveness. Hallelujah!!
Merry Christmas!!
God is Great! God is Good!!Always!!!I
I Love You,
Margaret
