Yep, it’s blog time again and I’m thrilled about these next several blogging weeks which I have planned for us all. Starting today, each week, I’ll get into the story of “That Melvin Bray”, one chapter at a time, and we’ll just see what comes up.

It’s Good Friday afternoon, April 3, 1953—Easter weekend. I start the story at this time in the life of the main character, Maggie Chillton, aka, Magg Pie, because this will be her first memory of her father under the influence of alcohol. She’s five years old and is home with her Mother and two younger sisters. Maggie’s daddy arrives home from the mill with his buddy Melvin Bray.
